In 2001 I set up my first project on 80 meters which has been based on the Dale (K6UA) 2 elements on 80 project.

Dale published in 1998 a interesting article on CQ magazine in 1998 (see a courtesy copy in download section ), in which he describes a lightweight approach to 80 meters.  You can find a review of the project on  ON4UN Low Band DX too.

My actual U beam (the antenna which I set up in 2006 and which I am using now) has been  inspired at Dale project; in particular the idea of using wire, fiberglass support shorter that wave length and the idea of rounding back the exceeding wire.

The K6UA 2 elements project is achievable and the antenna works fine. Unfortunately I was not able to use for a long time, as I had to dismount the tower itself for other reason in 2002.
